It has been a crazy journey and it’s hard to believe that we’re almost there. There’s only 8 days left until you get to hear some of the awesome guests I’ve had the privilege of speaking with, getting to know and learn from. From the very beginning, we’ve wanted to provide fathers with experiences of others. Learning how they’ve been successful applying leadership strategies from their work lives to their personal lives. We’ve spent the last month and a half getting the first interviews recorded. It’s been a huge learning experience for me. Creating web sites and audio files was never a big deal because I’ve done that for years. However, there are so many thing involved with this, you would be amazed. Writing content for the blog, trying to get the word out, social media, finding guests, putting all the equipment together for interviews, scheduling, recording, and editing each show and learning along the way about other ways to get better at the process. Those are just a small handful of the pieces involved. At some point, I hope to create a list and provide resources to anyone else who wants to use them for any of their endeavors.
All that said, every guest has been awesome to work with and learn from. I, on the other hand, was not as good at episode 1 in regards to the actual interview as I was at episode 5. I was also better at episode 10 then at 6 and I’m sure that will continue to be the case with each person I talk to. Continual growth is something we all work towards and this is no different. I hope that you’ll stick with us through those early days and learn from the guests just as I have, even while the host continues to get better. 🙂
I can’t wait to begin some of the other things we have planned for the show as time goes along. For now, though, we’d love it if you could help us get the word out and join our community as well. Every episode will have an “Overtime Show”. It will be a few more questions with each guest. They are only available to our community members. Hang in there – the switch is about to be flipped and we’re going to send this ship into orbit.
